Christian Haass was awarded with the Hector Wissenschaftspreis 2022
The "Hector Wissenschaftspreis" for the promotion of outstanding research achievements in the amount of 150.000 EUR is awarded annually by the Hector Stiftung II.

The award ceremony was held on January 27th, 2023 in Heidelberg. This year, the "Hector Wissenschaftspreis" was given to Prof. Dr. Anna Wienhard from the Max-Planck-Institute for Mathematics in Sciences in Leipzig and to Prof. Dr. Christian Haass from LMU and DZNE Munich.
Christian Haass has received this prize for his achievements as an outstanding scientist and mentor, who made unique and highly important contributions to the understanding of the mechanisms of neurodegenerative diseases.
With this award, the two awardees were welcomed into the circle of "Hector Fellows" and will enrich interdisciplinary collaboration as members of the "Hector Fellow Academy" in the future.
