Ringberg Symposium

Poster of the 2010 Ringberg Symposium

The Ringberg Symposia are organized by the SFB 596. They are always devoted to hot topics currently affecting research in the field of neurodegeneration and are highly interdisciplinary.

Within the beautiful setting of the pituresc castle of the former Bavarian Duke Luitpold we are bringing together world leading specialists for a rather informal workshop. The SFB has so far organized Ringberg Symposia on Regulated Intramembrane Proteolysis, on Neurodegeneration in Zebrafish, and the Role of Mitochondria in Neurodegeneration.

Topic selection is very flexible and depends on current and sometimes unexpected developments in the field of neurodegeneration.
